Jhana Millers Gallery, Wellington. 15 May — 2 June 2025

“ Each gallery artist was invited to bring along someone else—another artist they admire, have long wanted to work with, or feel a creative connection to. Some of the pairings are surprising; others feel inevitable. The show explores the dynamics between practices, revealing how different approaches, materials, and ideas can align—or usefully collide. “ (gallery press release)

I was honoured to be invited by Ann Shelton and made my work in response to her 1999 photograph Modern Girl.
The sculpture is a collage of commercial and hand-made textiles, including a tapestry I wove during my residency at Tylee Cottage, Whanganui.

All photos by Adrian Vercoe.
